SingersResound’s aim is to help protect and preserve the mental and physical health of singers, through our mentoring programme and free workshops, in the hope that they receive from us all the support and understanding they need.
Thanks to the generosity and kindness of our individual donors, supporters, legacies, and foundations, we are able to continue providing our vital work to more singers and help them find their way forwards.
On the 8th November 2023, we were shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of SingersResound founding member and mentor, Keel Watson, known for his sonorous bass singing, inspirational musicianship and acting skills. Respected and loved by his colleagues on and off-stage, it was Keel's voice of reason and ethics, as a singer and spirited crusader, which helped to establish the charity's work.
Led by members of his family, a tribute page for Keel was created through ‘MuchLoved’, with donations being made to SingersResound in recognition of Keel’s contribution to the charity, and his passion for the opera industry and the wellbeing of its performers. We are as hugely thankful for Keel's remarkable commitment to SingersResound, as we are grateful to each individual and organisation who have made a donation to SingersResound in Keel’s name following his untimely death.
